Webinar on Covid-19 Impact of Women and Children

IPS continues to report on and analyze socio- political and economic issues impacting especially the developing countries. The IPS United Nations Bureau organized a Webinar in mid July this year on the Impact of Covid-19 on Women and Children. Six experts, all women, with different fields of expertise shared their knowledge and views. Moderated by Doaa Abdel Motaal of The Guarini Institute, the speakers included Catherine Bertini, former Executive Director, World Food Programme and distinguished Fellow at the Chicago Council; Yasmine Sherif, Director Education Cannot Wait; Saima Wazed Hossain, Advisor to the DG, World Health Organization and Chair, Shuchona Foundation; Susan Papp, Managing Director, Policy and Advocacy at Women Deliver; Josefina Stubbs, former Associate Vice President, UN IFAD.
